Granting permissions for cellular data and background app refresh ensures the busybusy app syncs data effectively, even in the background. Follow these steps to enable the required permissions on your Android or iOS device.

Android

Steps

1. Open Device Settings

  • Unlock your Android device.

  • Open the Settings app (gear icon).

2. Locate busybusy App Settings

  • Scroll down and tap Apps or Applications (option may vary by device).

  • Find and tap busybusy in the list of installed apps.

3. Enable Cellular Data Permission

  • Tap Mobile Data & Wi-Fi or Data Usage.

  • Toggle on Background Data to allow the app to use cellular data in the background.

  • If available, enable Unrestricted Data Usage to ensure busybusy syncs even when Data Saver is enabled.

4. Enable Background App Refresh

  • Return to the App Info screen.

  • Tap Battery or Battery Usage.

  • Toggle on Allow Background Activity (or select Optimized, if applicable).

5. Verify Permissions

  • Go back to the App Info screen.

  • Tap Permissions and ensure relevant permissions (e.g., Location, Storage, Notifications) are granted.

  • Toggle on Cellular Data.

  • Navigate to General > Background App Refresh.

  • Ensure Background App Refresh is enabled globally.

  • Scroll down and toggle busybusy on to enable background syncing.

  • In busybusy settings, ensure:

    • Location is set to Always Allow for improved location-based features (optional).

    • Notifications are enabled to receive important updates.
