Completing an OSHA recordable incident is an important step in ensuring compliance and accuracy in your organization's safety reporting.
1. Accessing the OSHA Form 300 Tab
All OSHA recordable incidents will be listed under the OSHA Form 300 tab. Navigate to the Incidents tab then select OSHA Form 300 from the tabs across the top of the screen to view a comprehensive list of incidents that require completion.
2. Marking the Injury or Illness Outcome
To complete an OSHA recordable incident, the Type field must be marked to indicate if the incident was an illness or injury. It's important to note that the outcome might not be immediately known and could take days, weeks, or even months to be finalized.
3. Adding the Outcome
Once the outcome of the injury or illness is known, return to the OSHA Form 300 tab. Locate the incident in question and click on the Completed or Review button to open the details. This will allow you to add the outcome and any extra details to the report.
4. Finalizing the Incident
After adding the outcome, the incident is now considered complete. It will be included in your organization's annual OSHA reports.
Important Note: Incidents that are still awaiting review will not be included in your OSHA reports. Therefore, it's essential to ensure that all necessary information is provided and outcomes are added promptly to maintain accurate reporting. |
