Time Off Report and Management (iOS, Android & Web)

The Time Off Report shows previous, upcoming and pending time off requests from your employees. busybusy allows you to view, approve or deny time off requests quickly from your mobile device or the web.

For iOS:

Step One: Navigate to the Time Off Report

  1. Inside the busybusy app click the three horizontal lines in the top left and select Reports from the menu.

  2. Select Time Off.

Step Two: Approving and Denying Requests

  1. From the Time Off screen, click on Requests on the top right.

  2. There will be two sections: Pending Requests and Request History. If there are no requests to view the message, “No Pending Requests” will be displayed.

  3. Under Pending Requests if you have a request waiting you will see an employee’s name and a number indicating how many requests that employee has pending.

  4. Click on the employee’s name for the details of the request. If there are multiple requests click into any one of them to view the details.

  5. To approve you can click on Approve on the bottom left of each request or click Approve All at the bottom left of the page.

  6. To deny click on Deny on the bottom right. To deny more than one request click on Deny All on the bottom right of the page. (Optional) type a reason and select Done at the top right.

Step Three: View Previous and Upcoming Requests

  1. From the Time Off screen, click on Previous to view requests that were made and approved.

    • To view more detail click on the employee’s name.

    • To edit the request click on the pencil icon on the bottom right of the request.

  2. To see approved requests coming up click on Upcoming. The list will be filtered from earliest to the oldest.

    • To view more detail click on the employee’s name.

    • To edit the request click on the pencil icon on the bottom right of the request.

For Android

Step One: Navigate to the Time Off Report

  1. Inside the busybusy app click the three horizontal lines in the top left and select Reports from the menu.

  2. Select Time Off.

Step Two: Approving and Denying Requests

  1. From the Time Off screen, click on Requests on the top right.

  2. There will be two sections: Pending Requests and Request History. If there are no requests to view the message, “No Pending Requests” will be displayed.

  3. Under Pending Requests if you have a request waiting you will see an employee’s name and a number indicating how many requests that employee has pending.

  4. Click on the employee’s name for the details of the request. If there are multiple requests click into any one of them to view the details.

  5. To approve click on Approve on the bottom left of each request or click Approve All at the bottom left of the page.

  6. To deny click on Deny on the bottom right of each request. To deny more than one request click on Deny All on the bottom right of the page. Optionally, type a reason for the denial then select Submit at the top right.

  1. From the Time Off screen, click on Previous to view requests that were made and approved.

For Web

Step One: Navigate to the Time Off Report

  1. Inside busybusy from the left navigation menu select More and Time Off.

Step Two: Approving and Denying Requests

  1. Inside the Time-Off Report if there are requests pending a blue banner on the top will read, “There are time-off requests awaiting approval.” Click on View Requests.

  2. Here you will see a list of pending requests. To see the details of the request hover over the request and scroll to the right.

  3. To approve a request click on the blue Approve button on each request.

  4. To deny click on the white Deny button on each request. A box will appear asking for an optional reason where you can type a message. Click Submit when finished.

  5. To approve or deny multiple requests at the same time check the box on the top left next to where it says Date. A gray bar will appear and your options to Approve or Deny.

Step Three: View Upcoming Requests and Edit the Report

  1. Inside the Time-Off Report upcoming requests will show from most recent to furthest out.

  2. To change your view click on the three bar icon on the top right (if you hover over it the title Columns will appear). Here you can choose what columns you want displayed and what order they are in.

  3. Check any of the boxes next to requests in the report to delete entries.

  4. Click on the three vertical dots icon next to a date to delete the entry or View Time Off.

  5. To edit a time off entry click on the request. Make any necessary changes and click Save.

  6. To create time off click on the circle with a + inside it on the top right of the report. To learn more about adding time off for an employee click here.

  7. To Export or Print the Time-Off Report click on the three vertical dots icon on the top right.
