busybusy has a wide variety of features to offer, and that includes Kiosk Mode! To ensure you get the most out of this feature and enjoy a seamless experience, we've put together the best practices in this article below. (If you have not set up Kiosk Mode, or want to learn more on how to use it, click HERE!)

Powering Off the Device Regularly

If you want to keep Kiosk Mode on your tablet or iPad running smoothly, we recommend turning it off every day. When you power the device down, it clears out all the extra stuff it's been holding onto, kind of like cleaning up your room! This can make your tablet faster and less likely to act up. This in turn, will make sure that all the apps, including busybusy run smoothly as well!

Ensure Syncing Occurs Daily

Ensuring that a sync can occur on the device you are using for Kiosk Mode is crucial in making sure that data reflects correctly across all devices in your busybusy account! This is especially important if the device is being used in an area without wifi or service.

If the device has not synced successfully, any new information will only be stored on the local device itself.

Taking Profile Photos

This may seem like a no-brainer to most, but this is an important part of making sure that your team can use Kiosk Mode in the most efficient way possible! Here is what we suggest for the best success:

Help your team take the initial photos

Because the initial photo taken in Kiosk Mode can be used as a profile picture and the reference for verification, it is important to ensure that each user is taking photos for their own profile and that the photo is clear and high quality! If the first try is not successful, no worries! Simply retake the photo without hitting the accept button until you get a good one.

Change the photo speed and requirements

In the Kiosk Mode settings, which you can get to by clicking the gear icon in the top right corner and entering the pin that was set when entering Kiosk Mode, you can then go to Security >> Photo Options, to change the speed at which the photo is taken and use the toggles to turn on and off when photo verification is required!

Digital Signatures and Kiosk Mode

It is important to note that users cannot view their time cards inside of Kiosk Mode, with only one exception. If Digital Signatures are enabled for your team, then they will be able to use the device in Kiosk Mode to view and sign their time cards. If not, users can access their time cards on the web or on their own mobile devices. (Click HERE for more help on enabling Digital Signatures!)
