This issue can be caused because of a few reasons. Either the company file has been moved from its original location, the un-registration from QuickBooks Web Connector failed, or you no longer have the same computer and are trying to re-install the web connector on your new setup. To fix this, you need to remove the stamp of the existing Owner ID.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page
Skip to the second step to continue downloading the Cp3 tool
Select Run
Step 3: Select file
Maneuver to your Downloads folder on the left hand side of the pop up window
Single click on the most recent busybusy.qwc file
Then select open
Step 4: Remove Stamp
Step 5: This will generate the QuickBooks Application Certificate pop-up
Select Yes, whenever this QuickBooks company file is open
Check the box that says: Allow this application to access personal data such as Social Security Numbers and customer credit card information
This is a general permission by QuickBooks to allow the data to be used for payroll purposes. busybusy does not use Social Security Numbers or credit card information. |
Step 6: Select Continue
Step 7: Click Yes for the Application Confirmation window
Step 8: On the Access Confirmation window, select Done
Step 9: A message about doing a backup will appear, select OK
Step 10: You’ll get a confirmation that the Owner ID has been removed. Select OK
Step 11: Close the QBWC CP3 Tool
