Data limits are a real issue and busybusy understands that. That’s why we work hard to make sure our app uses the least amount of data possible while still delivering a powerful app that does amazing things.

Is your company requiring you to use your smartphone to track time with busybusy? It is only logical that you might be worried about how much data that might eat. Would it surprise you to learn that on average busybusy uses less than 1% of the total data most people use in a month?! That’s right. You’ll spend the majority of your data doing other things like surfing the web, watching videos, and getting directions, and only about 1% of your data tracking time with busybusy.

busybusy uses approximately 20 MB of data per month. When you consider the average person uses 4,500 MB per month, the data used to track time is less than 0.5%! Can this vary? Sure. Uploading 4 medium jobsite photos per day (using cellular data) to busybusy could use up to 45 MB of data per month. Which is still only 1% of the data you’ll use this month.

Most of our users can estimate about 1 MB, or the equivalent of watching a 30 second YouTube video, each week!

busybusy’s GPS does not use cellular data so GPS will still work (along with the rest of busybusy’s app) in remote locations without cell service.
