To control who can submit and manage safety observations, you need to set up position-based permissions. There is a corresponding video at the end of each section.
Only users with permission to manage company settings can configure position permissions. You can learn more about all of our permissions settings here.
Web Instructions:
Access Positions Settings:
From the left-hand menu, navigate to Settings and then click on Positions.
Select a Position:
Click on the position you want to modify.
Enable Safety Observation Permissions:
Scroll down to the Safety section.
To allow the position to Report Observations, check the box next to this option. This permission allows employees to submit both safety concerns and positive observations.
To allow the position to Manage Observations, check the box next to this option. This permission enables the user to view and process safety observations submitted by other employees.
Submit Changes:
Once you’ve enabled the necessary permissions, click Submit to save your changes.

Access Position Settings:
From the main menu, tap Settings at the bottom, then tap Company. From there select Positions.
Select a Position:
Choose the position for which you want to set safety observation permissions.
Enable Safety Observation Permissions:
Scroll down to the Manage Safety section.
Toggle on Report Observations to allow the position to submit safety concerns and positive observations.
Toggle on Manage Observations to allow the position to process observations submitted by others.
Save Changes:
Once the appropriate permissions are set, tap Save to apply the changes.
