Create a Project (Web)

Whether you are new to busybusy or experienced, creating a project is a simple and crucial task! Projects in busybusy can be used to identify specific jobs as well as tracking attributes like cost codes, photos, notes, drive time, etc. You can mold projects in busybusy to fit your workflow and best suit your needs.

Create a Project

Step One: Get Started 

1. Select Management Lists  in the Left Navigation Menu
2. Select Projects
3. Select the Create icon in the top left corner.

Step Two: Filling out Project Information

1. 1. The Create Project form allows for the following information to be added:
      • Name (Only information required to create new Project)
      • Company Details
        • Group
          • To help organize your projects, busybusy allows you to sort your projects into groups! This makes it easier for employees to find specific projects instead of scrolling through all projects.
        • Project #
        • Customer
        • Phone Number
      • Address
        • Street Address
        • City
        • State
        • Postal Code
      • Geolocation
        • GPS Location
          • Enter the address of your project in this section to give your project a GeoFence! This will place a circular “fence” around your project so that you can enforce geographical boundaries on your project. 
          • Reminders
            • Do your employees forget to clock out when they arrive at a job site? With this setting, buysbusy can remind them when they approach the geofence to clock in! 
          • On-Site Verification 
            • By enabling this functionality, busybusy will only allow those that are within the geofence to clock in. This can prevent employees from clocking in/out when they are not actually at the job site! 
              • • Off: Turns off On-site Verification and does not enforce geographic boundary policies.
                • On: Applies to only the project/Sub-project being viewed. 
                • On-Apply to Subprojects: Enforces on-site verification to projects AND subprojects related to the root project.
          • Miscellaneous
            • Add additional information to your project! This field can be used to provide those viewing the project with additional information and clickable links such as email addresses, phone numbers, or web links!

Import Projects

Load multiple projects at once in busybusy via our Project Import tool!

1. 1. Select Management Lists  in the Left Navigation Menu
   2. Select Projects
   3. Select the three vertical dots icon next to the printer icon.
   4. From the drop-down menu, select Import Projects
   5. Download the CSV example file, and structure your import
   6. When ready, select Upload to upload all of your projects into busybusy at once!

Creating Projects requires proper Manage Projects permissions. See our article here. Once a project is no longer in use, Projects can be Archived to prevent further information from being added to them! See our Archive & Unarchive Projects article for more information!
