Permissions control who in your company can create, manage, view, and review Job Safety Analyses (JSAs). By default, only Admins have full access to create and manage JSAs. But don't worry—permissions can be customized for different positions, so you can easily control who has access to both web and mobile platforms.

Setting JSA Permissions on Web

  1. Navigate to the left-hand menu and click on Settings then Positions.

  2. Click on the Position you would like to change the setting for.

  3. Scroll down to the Safety section and click on JSA Reports. Here, you can enable the following options:

    • Create JSAs: Allows the position to create JSAs.

    • Manage JSAs: Grants the ability to edit or delete JSAs.

  4. Before closing out the window, click Update to save your permission settings.

Once you check the create JSA box the manage box will pop up.

If no permissions are granted, users can still view and review JSAs but will not be able to create or manage them.

Setting JSA Permissions on Mobile

  1. Open the busybusy mobile app and tap on the three horizontal lines in the top-left corner.

  2. Select Settings and then tap on Company.

  3. Tap on Positions and then the position you would like to change permissions for.

  4. Scroll down to and tap Manage Safety

  5. Toggle on Create JSA Reports and Manage JSA Reports if needed.

  6. Once you are done click on the white arrow in the top right then Done.

Permission changes on mobile sync automatically with the web platform.

With permissions properly configured, your team can efficiently manage JSAs based on their roles. For more details on creating JSAs, check out our related articles on Task JSAs and Cost Code JSAs.
