Employees’ Attendance

Our brand new Weekly Attendance report can be found under the Scheduling tab on the web for our pro account users. This report gives you a breakdown of what time your employees are clocking in each day and marking if they are absent, late, or early.

This report keeps track of the clock in times of all your employees, whether or not you use our Scheduling > Calendar feature. If an employee isn’t scheduled, they’ll simply have dashes for their scheduled start time. The magic really happens if you do use the scheduling capability of busybusy! This report will give you a quick and easy way to compare your employees’ scheduled start times with their actual start times, and tell you if an employee is clocking in late or early compared to their scheduled start times.

Good to know:

If an employee has time off scheduled it will show up on the weekly report but it won’t mark them as absent. Employees are only marked absent when they were scheduled to work and never clocked in.

Customizing the Report

Click the gear icon in the top right corner to easily customize the late and early rules for this report. You can set your first day of the week as well as customize a time cushion - for example, if you want your employees to only be marked late if it’s more than 15 minutes after their scheduled start time. You can also choose whether or not you would like the weekends to be displayed in the report, giving you further control over the amount of data you’re looking at.

Use the filter on the right side of your screen to dial in on details you would like to see. You can filter by Status (absent, late, or early), Employee, and Employee Group. This report is printable, so if you’re a fan of having those hard copies handy simply click the printer icon in the top corner!

Because all employees are able to view their own schedules, they are also able to view their own attendance report. If an employee has permission to view schedules and track time for other permissions, they’ll be able to see the attendance report for those permissions.

Click on an employee’s name and you’ll be taken to an awesome breakdown of their weekly attendance. This breakdown will show you the employee’s status for each entry as well as their scheduled start time and project, and their actual start time and project. In addition to those great details, this report also ties in beautifully with our new GPS Outside Project report! Learn more about that report HERE. You can quickly and easily view if there were any issues for the employee’s entries and dig into any specific days you need more information on.

Click on the three stacked dots next to an employee’s name and you’ll be given the option to View Schedule or View Time Entry. This lets you check the specific employee’s weekly schedule, or see their time data in a Time Card report.

Good to know:

Use the Schedule Work button in the top right corner to quickly and easily create schedules. You can also switch to your schedule view by using the top drop down option in the right side filter and selecting Calendar.
