This guide will help you prevent employees from using a busybusy Kiosk device for anything other than the busybusy app in Kiosk Mode. We accomplish this by locking down the device using a system setting called Guided Access.
For help locking down an Android device, please check out our article HERE.
What is Guided Access?
Guided Access keeps an iPhone or iPad in a single app, and allows you to control which features are available. Setting up Guided Access is easy, but the first time requires performing a few additional steps:
Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Guided Access
Turn on Guided Access by toggling the switch to green
Select Passcode Settings, then select Set Guided Access Passcode.
Enter a passcode, then reenter it. From here, you can also turn on Face ID or Touch ID as a way to end a Guided Access session.
You are now ready to use Guided Access!
Go to the busybusy app
Triple-click the Home button. For iPhone X triple-click the side button.
Tap Start
You are now in Guided Access mode. This will prevent employees from using the device for anything other than busybusy.
You can now start Kiosk Mode from the side nav menu in busybusy and then you can custom configure the Kiosk. Learn more about that HERE.
To Stop Using Guided Access
Triple-click the Home button. For iPhone X triple-click the side button.
Enter your passcode
Tap "End"
