Time Not Syncing from Mobile Device to Web

Is an employee's time not syncing from their mobile device to the Web? Here are some troubleshooting tips.

Tip #1: An Employee can Check for Updates

Is your busybusy app up to date? Click here for steps to update the app.

Tip #2: An Admin or Employee can Check the Account Information

Employee

  1. Select the three-line hamburger icon at the top left

  2. Select Settings

  3. Select My Account

  4. What is the Username you are currently logged into?

Admin

  1. Select Management List

  2. Select Employees

  3. Click on the Employees name

  4. Verify Username

  5. Confirm Clock in

  6. Once the employee has been clocked in for more than one minute the time will sync.

If the Employee does not remember their password you can reset that here or have them select forgot password to reset through the email listed on the profile.

IMPORTANT: Make sure the username the employees is using to log in matches the username you have listed in your system. If the employee used a different username, they're not logging into your company's account and none of their entries will be able to sync.

Tip #3: Make Sure busybusy can Access your Cellular Service

Do you Allow the Mobile Device to use Cellular Service?

  • Go to your phone settings>> busybusy app>> assure Cellular Data toggle is turned on

  • Once this is turned on hard close the app and open it once again to reboot.

  • If the app is still not syncing, try logging out and logging back in

Do you have Cellular Service?

  • If the employee has poor connectivity, the data will not sync until the employee has reached cellular service or connected to the internet

Tip #4: You May Need to Uninstall or Reinstall the App

There are a lot of reasons busybusy might be acting a little wonky. Some of these reasons have to do with the operating system on the mobile device. To make sure the user isn't experiencing this type of problem, leading to their entries not syncing, a reinstall of busybusy might do the trick. Click here for steps to delete and reinstall the busybusy app.

The unsynced time entries may be deleted when uninstalling and reinstalling busybusy. Therefore you would need to create the entry manually. Click here to learn more about manually creating an entry. All previous synced entries will not be affected.
