A supervisor or admin can create incident reports after employees submit an injury using the Injury Daily Sign Off question, which you can learn more about HERE. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to view and report an employee-submitted injury using Supervisor Tools. If you need to submit a report on the web you can learn more about that HERE.

Viewing Employee-Submitted Injuries

  1. Log in to your busybusy app and navigate to Supervisor Tools.

  2. Click on More and then select Safety Incidents.

  3. Under the Open tab, you'll see any injuries reported by your crew through the Daily Sign Off question.

  4. Tap on an employee’s name to view the details provided in their sign-off question description. Evaluate whether the reported injury warrants filing a formal injury report or if it can be deemed a non-issue.

To mark as a Non-Issue: If the injury is determined to be a non-issue, tap the three dots in the corner, select Report Not Required, and fill out the reason. This action marks it as processed in the Daily Sign-off report with no further action needed!

Filing an Official Injury Report

  1. To file an official injury report, use the Report button next to the employee’s name under the Open tab or tap Report at the bottom of an employee’s incident screen.

  2. Provide Injury Details: Fill out the Incident Report with the specifics of the date, time, and type of incident.

  3. Mark if the incident is defined by OSHA as a recordable incident. The report has criteria here provided by OSHA to help you be accurate.

  4. Project and Location Details: Specify the project the employee was working on and where the injury occurred on the project.

  5. Verify the time the employee started work.

  6. Tap Next in the top right corner.

  7. Treatment Given: Mark the type of treatment provided and provide additional information about where the treatment was administered if applicable.

  8. Tap Next.

  9. Incident Specifics: Fill in details about what led up to the incident, what happened, the nature of the injury, and what object was responsible for the injury or illness.

  10. Submit the Report: Ensure all required fields are completed before submitting the injury report.

A supervisor plays a vital role in the Incident Process by gathering information from the field and creating an injury report when an injury is reported by an employee. If you are newly implementing safety reports, it may be a good idea to hold a training session with your supervisors so they know what to expect from this report and what information you’re looking for. Their ability to accurately document and report workplace injuries is essential for maintaining a safe work environment.
