Building the habit to clock in at the beginning or end of your shift will take some time. To help build this muscle memory, we at busybusy have created the Reminders feature. Once reminders are set up, you will get a notification from busybusy reminding you to clock in/out.

There are two kinds of reminders you can set for yourself: a time based reminder, or an area based reminder.

Each user will need to set these reminders individually within their busybusy mobile apps. This cannot be done from the web. |
Time-Based Reminders (aka Clock Reminders)
Add a Clock In or Out Time-Based Reminder on an iOS Device

From your Main Menu, go to Settings >> Notifications & Reminders >> Clock Reminders

Select the + icon in the upper right of the screen

Select Clock in Reminder

Select the Time section

Adjust to the desired time and select Done

Turn on Repeat and select the days you would like this reminder to repeat itself. If you don't want the reminder to repeat just skip this step.

Select the Date and select Done

To select a Project/Cost Code/Equipment autofill for a fast clock in process click on Advanced. This is optional, you can skip to step #10 if autofill isn't wanted.

Select a Project/Cost Code/Equipment. These choices will now auto-populate upon clock in.

Select Done in the upper right of the screen
Delete a Time-Based Reminder on an iOS Device

From your Main Menu, go to Settings >> Notifications & Reminders >> Clock Reminders

Click on a reminder you'd like to delete

Select Delete at the bottom of the screen

Select Delete to confirm
Add a Clock In or Out Time-Based Reminder on an Android Device
- From your Main Menu, go to Settings >> Preferences >> Reminders

Select the blue + icon in the lower right of the screen

Select the Clock In icon or Clock Out icon

Select the Time section

Adjust to the desired time and select OK to save

Turn on Repeat and select the days you would like this reminder to repeat itself (if you don't want the reminder to repeat skip to step #8).

Select the Date and select OK

Delete a Time-Based Reminder on an Android Device

From your Main Menu, go to Settings >> Preferences >> Reminders

Click on a reminder you'd like to delete

Select the Trash Can icon at the top of the screen

Select Delete to confirm
Area-Based Reminders
Area-Based Reminders use the user's GPS location to create a geofence when they clock in or switch to another project. This feature is on by default with a geofence of 100 meters in diameter. The geofence diameter can be enlarged up to 1,000 meters. Once the geofence has been set, the user will get a push notification from busybusy to their mobile device asking them if they would like to clock in or out depending on the notifications set and the user's proximity to the geofence.

From your Main Menu, click on the Clock In button

*For Android devices: Select the gear icon on the top right of the screen
*For iOS devices: Select the Options button on the bottom of the screen

Under Area-Based Reminders, you can turn on or off the clock in or out reminders & select the size of the geofence

Select Save (Android) or Done (iOS) on the top right of the screen
