Annotating photos in busybusy allows you to add drawings, highlights, or text to your images, enhancing your visual communication. This feature is available only to premium users and can be performed on any photo, whether during the upload process or after the photo is already in the library. After annotating photos in busybusy, you may want to view the original version without the annotations. Removing annotations is straightforward whether you're using the web platform or the mobile app, and instructions for this are included towards the end of this article.
The ability to do this is dependent on the Manage Photos permission, which you can learn more about HERE.
Annotate a Photo (Mobile)
Annotating photos in busybusy allows you to add drawings, highlights, or text to your images, enhancing your visual communication. This feature is available only to premium users and can be performed on any photo, whether during the upload process or after the photo is already in your app library.

During Upload
Initiate the Upload Process:
Tap the + button on the main photo library screen.
Tap the camera icon to add a photo.
Select or Take a Photo:
Choose an image from your library or take a new photo.
Once selected, tap Done.
Annotate the Photo:
Tap DRAW under the photo to start annotating.
Use the annotation tools to draw, highlight, or add text to the photo.
Save and Complete Upload:
After annotating make sure you tap Save.
Choose a project to assign the annotated photo(s) to then tap Save again to complete the upload.
On a Previously Uploaded Photo
Navigate to the Photo Library:
Open the busybusy app and go to the photo library.
Select the Photo:
Tap on the photo you wish to annotate.
Start Annotating:
Tap the pencil icon in the top menu bar.
Use the annotation tools to mark up the photo as desired.
Save the Annotated Photo:
Tap Save to apply the annotations.
The annotated photo will be saved and appear in the library with its saved changes.
View Original Photo After Annotating (Web & Mobile)
After annotating photos in busybusy, you may want to view the original version without the annotations.
On the Web
Log in to your busybusy account on the web.
Click on the Photos from the main menu.
Find and click on the annotated photo you want to view in its original form.
Click on the photo to view it in detailed view, showing the annotated version.
Below the image, you'll see two buttons. Click on Original. This will display the photo like it was pre-annotations.
When done viewing the original photo, click the back arrow in the upper left to return to the photo library. The photo will return to its annotated state.
On Mobile
Launch the busybusy app and navigate to the Photos tab.
Tap on the photo you want to view in its original form.
Tap the three stacked dots to open the photo options.
Select the View Original Photo option to see the photo without annotations.
Tap Done or the back arrow to return to the annotated photo.
Delete a Photo Annotation (Web & Mobile)
Removing annotations from photos in busybusy is straightforward, whether you're using the web platform or the mobile app.
Deleted annotations CANNOT be recovered! Make sure you 100% don't need the annotations before you remove them from your photos. |
On the Web
Log in to your busybusy account on the web.
Click on the Photos from the main menu.
Find and click on the annotated photo you want to remove the annotation from.
Click on the photo to view it in detailed view.
In the detailed view of the photo, look for the 3 dot stack in the bottom left corner and click on it then select Delete Annotations.
A pop up window will warn you that a deleted annotation is gone forever and ask if you want to proceed. Click Delete to permanently remove the annotation.
Click the back arrow to return to your photo library.
On Mobile
Launch the busybusy app and navigate to the Photos tab.
Tap on the photo with annotations you want to remove.
Tap the three stacked dots in the upper right corner then tap Delete Annotations.
Tap OK in the pop up window to finish deleting the annotations.
Tap Done or the back arrow to return to your photo library. That photo will now appear in your library without the annotations.
